New Climate Action Talent

Mobilizing Now.

False solutions have taken over the sustainability space and “radical” has lost it’s meaning - To address from the root.

As we move closer to 2030, we need bold action that disrupts the current concepts of climate action, centering systemic strategies in localized action and coalition building with groups in the frontlines.

Our team is a multidisciplinary youth community that seeks to build better relations and explore climate solutions that consider intersectionality and systemic considerations to ensure a triple impact approach.

Socio Cultural Innovation Approach

Bridging grassroots efforts with triple impact models and data backed activism.

Let us deal with the “transition risk” for climate action

Working in symbiosis with frameworks like Vancouver’s Culture Shift Plan, Climate Change Adaptation Plan or the Climate Action Plan, we unite cross-sector efforts to catalyze innovation and drive systemic change, particularly to close implementation gaps with the community.

Our partnerships and programs build a foundation for sustainable development while advocating for solutions that serve for the planet at the level of the people.

Previous collaborations have served with the British Columbia Council for International Cooperation, the City of Vancouver, the United Nations Ocean Decade, UBC Forestry and more organizations seeking community-impact first.

Ritmos Climáticos connects grassroots organizing with businesses, local governments, and organizations, crafting campaigns, action oriented education and organizing gatherings that center climate justice and cultural resilience locally.

Grounded in methodologies like the Triple Impact Model—balancing social, environmental, and economic outcomes—we align with communities on the frontlines of climate activism to co-create equitable and scalable solutions.

Our work integrates systemic analysis to address root causes of environmental and social challenges while avoiding superficial "false solutions." We amplify marginalized voices, promote transnational solidarity, and enable businesses and organizations to embed climate justice principles into their operations. This alignment fosters scalable, community-driven strategies that address the climate crisis in meaningful and lasting ways.

Rhythm

Rhythm - ritmos is our name. Our work is rooted in culture, inspired by the music of our home countries and their stories of resistance. We believe rhythm is a powerful force in uniting, mobilizing, and bringing joy.

Rhythm brings us together to move, dance, smile, sing. Rhythm is ancestral, it is connection, it is unity. We want to mobilize to the sound of the people. Talking about climate justice is not always easy and even less often accessible and that is why rhythm is what carries us. We use art, culture, music, spirituality to talk about important things because it is only with rhythm that we can move together.

Community

No one is free until we are all free.

Community is at the centre of our work, we believe that gathering is key to addressing climate change and moving towards liberated futures. It is in community that we find joy, connection, and hope. Our community is trans-local and we work with communities around the world. We believe that transnational solidarity is key to creating a global community and that our struggles are connected. We see that in the so-called global south communities are resilient because of their togetherness and resistance to neoliberal individualism. Culture cannot be practiced or expanded without community.

Monarch Butterfly

The monarch butterfly represents the identity of our community at Ritmos and the communities we work to uplift. Monarch butterflies migrate yearly from Turtle Island to Mexico. Butterflies also represent transformation, throughout their lifecycle they hold many forms and ways of interacting with nature. They go from munching on leaves to pollinating flowers. We believe social transformation is absolutely necessary to create climate just futures.

Water

Water gives us life and water is what makes up climate. The focus on emissions in the climate space is limited and ignores the imbalance of a broken water cycle. Water represents healing and destruction, it represents the fragility of ourselves and that we are truly not separate from nature. Water is sentient and alive, the water holds spirits that cannot be colonized. Water connects us all, one water.

Inspiration

Behind every movement there is a dream, these are some gatherings, organizations and futurisms that inspire us
